Pookie & Besties Day of Pamper! 💅

One thing I really hope this journal captures over the years are the ordinary days that end up becoming core memories. Today was one of those days.

Alessandra got her very first real haircut!!

Leading up to it, I kept asking if she was ready, but I could tell she was getting nervous. Dodging the question and every now and then asking if it would hurt haha!

When we pulled into the parking lot in front of the salon, smiled and said, "We're hereeee! Are you excited?!" Without missing a beat, she said in the most dramatic voice, "No, it's gonna be horrifying." 🤣💀 I laughed so hard. Poor thing had herself convinced this haircut was going to be some traumatic life event.

She was so brave though. She sat there, side eyeing the stylist as she trimmed her hair 😂, and by the end she was all smiles. I think she realized it wasn’t nearly as scary as she’d imagined. Honestly… isn’t that true about so many things?

Afterwards, we decided to keep the girls’ day going by popping in next door to get our nails done. It turned into a full-blown pookie and bestie day, my favorite! Just the two of us talking, laughing, getting pampered, and soaking up time together before kindergarten changes our daily rhythm.
